Hey guys,

If I were to do a factory reset on Windows 10, will that reset the build version as well? Build 1607 has caused me nothing but issues and I really need to roll it back but I'm passed the 10 days that Microsoft allows.

What specific issues are you seeing?
A 'reset' of your current install will do 1 of 2 things:
1. Simply reinstall Win 10 build 1607
or
2. A previous install, and then you'll just get 1607 again soon. Like tomorrow.

So...what issues are you seeing? What leads you to believe the OS and version is the problem?

I've been having massive frame drops on my MSI RX 480 ever since the anniversary update. I've completely wiped my drivers and reinstalled them but that hasn't fixed anything. I've read up on some other people having the same issue and they've all said that rolling back to a previous build has fixed the problem. It seems to be an issue with the AMD software and the new update.

And what did these people say when 1607 was pushed to their system again?

Well for the most part they were able to use the built in rollback option that Windows has so they never really had follow up posts. I know what you mean though because there's no way of turning off the auto-update unless you have W10 pro correct? I might have to download Windows 7 and give it a shot. I've been in contact with AMD as well but that hasn't helped.

Massive frame drops across all games, generally lower performance as well. Like being unable to have a youtube video open along with a game, which I managed to do no problem prior to the update. I initially thought it was just a hardware issue with my graphics card but I've read of others having the same issue as me with the same pc specs.
