Hi, I know this comes up from time to time but I've tried many of the methods suggested in other forums,
I just built a new system and it fails to shutdown but switches off the monitor signal, now if I switch off without running anything after boot it switches of but the minute I run a game such as destiny 2 I cant close out when finished so have to ctrl/alt/del. It all worked perfectly fine for first day and wondering if its a setting ive set in my mother board which is conflicting with windows 10.. my cpu is a i9 9900KF, mb is a Rog Strix Z390 E Gaming , Gpu is Rog Strix RTX2060 any ideas would be appreciated..

What process do you use to shutdown?

How long are you waiting for the new build to shutdown?

How long does it take for the monitor signal to switch off?

What power saving settings do you have in place?

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, and even informational events that may have been captured after shutdown.

Look in the Windows 10 Update history: any failed updates or failed attempts to update?
