windows 10 pro file transfer slow

I am transferring jpeg files from an android tablet to a windows 10 pro. There is a large number of jpeg files and when windows loads all the files, it slows to a crawl and finally won't complete the load to read the file info. any ideas?

is the drive you copying to an ssd or hdd?

what brand tablet? have you checked their web site, they might have newer win 10 drivers

It is an AXS Trio tablet, and I am copying to an HDD
