My system just freezes up, it stops responding, and I can't move the mouse cursor or type anything (caps lock stops responding as well), the only thing I can do is restart the system and the problem goes away. The last time it happened one of the fans' rpm was raised to what sounded like max. speed. Usually it happens after the pc hibernates and is awaken, or after I'm inactive for a little while. Though that is not always the case. I'm on Windows 10 Pro on a desktop, so some people pointed out a few things I could change in the power settings, I did that and it didn't help. Some other people think it might be the psu (being too low power to properly handle my GPU and CPU) but I don't know if that is it.

My system is:

Motherboard: Gigabyte - UD3P, Ultra Durable
CPU: AMD FX(tm) - 8150, 8-Core, 3,6 GHz
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) HyperX Fury - 1866MHz
GPU: Gigabyte Gtx 960 Windforce 4GB
HDD: a) SSD 500GB (2xSamsung EVO 750 250GB in RAID0 Mode) b)HDD WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7500 c) HDD Samsung 1TB 5200 (My Windows Run on the SSD)
PSU: Corsair 600W

I should add I'm using the Coolermaster Centurion case and the Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler, a UPS to protect the PC from Power Surges and the EIZO FlexScan S1701 screen and I only just installed the original version of Windows 10 Pro.

I'm also using Avira Free as an antivirus.

Any ideas why my system might be freezing up?

Solution
Please give Kingston Tech support a call, I don't believe there are any compatible 8gb Fury modules for the 970UD3P but its been several years since I built an amd system so there could be some now.
I had this issue. I have my winows 10 on my ssd and everything else on my hdd. I tried everything and could not figure it out. I wiped both drives and reset windows 10. I had no issues until it did an automatic update to the anniversary edition and I started having it freeze again randomly.. so I did a roll back to the 1511 version and everything runs perfect. Looks like the update is having issues if you don't have all files on the same harddrive as the OS.

Late reply i know.... i just had the same issue, its the sata drivers i think, change the sata driver to the amd ones (i got it from the AMD catalyst pacakage). And i got rid of the freezes. This is for SB 950 chipsets. My mobo is the Asus 990FX Pro R2.0.
