I just installed Ue4 then restarted my computer just to then realise that I can't log in any more. The box to put the pin into doesn't display but the mouse and power options do. Can't seem to start in safe mode via the shift + restart method or f8 hotkey while startup. Please help
Computer specs are
Intel i5 7600
Asus gtx 1070
Gigabyte B8 gaming motherboard
16gb corsair vengeance ram
128 m.2 SSD
and just a normal 1tb hard-drive
Windows 10

Solution
On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB - its just a boot drive, don't get it if you already have it

try start up repair first
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info

if that doesn't work, try safe mode:
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.

Pc will restart and load safe mode
Sometimes just going into safe mode might fix it.

if start up options isn't an option, choose system restore and see if a recent date to roll system settings back to.
