My PS/2 Mouse can't be detected properly. When I attach it, even I restarted the pc, the cursor won't appear but there's red light under the mouse indicating that it should be working. But when i attached a usb mouse, the cursor instantly showed up. I looked at the device manager and find that in my keyboard tab, there is a "standard ps/2 driver" but in the mouse tab it only shows HID

Solution
Well, mouse is a HID (Human Interface Device) but it's not going to be under Keyboards but own heading " Mice and Other Pointing Devices".
Turn computer completely off and start with mouse plugged in. Also check BIOS if there's some setting for Ps/2.
