windows 10 question

Solution

33GB is completely within normalcy.
OS + updates + pagefile + hibernation + 4GB of your game....easily 33GB.

Windows is only about 4GB initially.

There is space reserved for the SSD itself https://www.kingston.com/us/ssd/overprovisioning.

Space is reserved for recovery.

Disk sizes aren't communicated right. https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/hard-drive-space-is-missing.html

Later on down the road http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-3473888/reclaim-disk-space-windows.html can help to keep your drives as uncluttered as possible.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I downloaded it to my usb drive and it only took up about 4GB.

File compression is a helluva thing.

Just the Win 10 install ISO is ~5GB. Used to be slightly smaller than 4GB.
Once you actually install it (uncompressing all that stuff), it consumes 12-15GB+.
Then run whatever current updates.

I have an Asus Transformer with a 32GB eMMC drive.
Just Win 10 Home and a few tiny utilities...27GB consumed on that drive.

A Win 7 x64 install will consume ~40-45GB, once you run all the updates and SP1 on it.
