Hello,

So I've been using my computer for over 2 years now, and today, after running 8 hours of Cinema 4D rendering, the memory usage of RAM has increased to 50% idle. I ran Malwarebytes to find the problem, but nothing. I can't run PUBG, Need for Speed, the games are lagging like CRAZY! I could play them with no lag problems and even run 3 Chrome tabs in the background. Also the load times are really long. Windows itself is feeling sluggish and takes long time to open something. Please help! I've checked the temperatures, restarted my pc, cleaned cache, registry, held the turn off button for 1-2 minutes while the pc is off.... NOTHING WORKS.

My specs:
ASUS Pheonix 1050ti
MSI G43-970A
8GB samsung RAM
550W PSU
AMD FX-6300

I'd like to place a bet and guess that the process that is using up your memory is called readyboost. Do you have a regular hard disk drive?
This process is used when you have a slow hard drive, so readyboost can cache frequently used files needed by the operating system within the memory. You can only imagine how this can slow your system down to a crawl if you don't have enough RAM. This happened to me so I'm ordering a 16gb kit. One way you can find this out is if you have windows 10, is to go into task manager and click the performance tab, click memory and sort by the process using most of the memory resources. What do you find?

I found the problem, it took a lot of nerve for me to find it, I'm gonna post it in the solution tab. My motherboard for some reason can't take more than 8gb of ram, cause every time i add 8 more gb of RAM, the screen goes black.

It could bet the additional memory stick is not compatible with the original ram stick or the motherboard. You might have to purchase the same exact chip or a whole separate 16gb kit to make it work.
