Windows 10 reinstall after motherboard change

My question is, I have a better motherboard and processor that I would like to install into my PC, I have purchased the license key. Will I be able to reactivate my Win10 copy with the new hardware. Do I use activation and security. After digging through the interwebs I seem to be getting conflicting statements. Like that a motherboard change is considered an entirely new PC. I would need to do a clean as the chipset would have changed. Will I be able to reactivate Win10 if I associate the digital license with my account??? Thanks so much, just some actual confirmation that this will work before rebuilding the pc.

If it is a purchased Win 10, you may not even have to do that.
But go through that anyway.

That's for the licensing/activation.


For the operation, you probably want to do a whole reinstall.
Always recommended, often required.
