Windows 10 Reinstall

If I want to reformat my SSD, how do I reinstall windows 10 if I upgraded from windows 7. Will the License key still be valid? Or do I need to do something else? I still have the Windows 7 OEM disk and license key.

download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB - use that to reinstall win 10

Your pc has a digital entitlement to win 10, just run installer and when you hit page asking for licence, click I don't have a key and win 10 will auto activate on install. when you upgraded to win 10, Microsoft recorded your PC details and licence key on a server so whenever you reinstall win 10 on that PC, it will auto activate once it checks the server.

I was going to reformat to "start over" so much rubbish on here. Using that guide will that reformat or does it just reinstall as if I was fixing any OS files.

Its a full format, win 10 install deletes all partitions and starts again.

During the install, select "Keep Nothing"
