Ok so 5 months ago I added another drive onto my computer. I copied all my files from my C drive to my new one. Now I just use my C drive for OS and I use my other for games storage. I am going to be performing a complete reinstall on my C drive. While snooping around I realized that also my new drive user data is out of date since then and hasn't installed my stuff onto it. So when I do my clean install should all my Nvidia stuff I had on my C: drive just reinstall like it should or would it be much more complicated?

Do a clean install

1. Prepare for Windows installation with USB tool ... or original media
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

2. Connect boot drive data cable to lowest numbered SATA port .... but don't connect:
-Ethernet cable
-SATA Data Cable for any other drives

3. Install Windows to boot drive

4. Turn off Windows ability to install Hardware drivers

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/82137-drivers-turn-off-automatic-driver-installation.html

5. Install all hardware drivers from original media in boxes See Item 7 below

6. Connect ethernet cable and run Windows Update till it stops doing anything

7. Install latest drivers for ALL hardware from manufacturers web sites. The reason we didn't do this in step 5 is 3 fold:
-Sometimes MoBo CD comes with licensed utilities with product key embedded and these are not on web site versions
-Its advisable to establish a working out of box conditions
-Sometimes newer drivers require latest Windows Updates

If you have a 2nd drive ....

8. Shut down and connect HD data cable to 2nd lowest numbered SATA port.

9. Boot to BIOS and make sure that SSD is the 1st boot device, if not fix it

10. Boot to Windows

Here's what I do.....

A. Install Windows to HD or SSHD on a partition same size as the SSD that is plugged into 2nd lowest number SATA port. Follow steps above.

B. Disconnect HD data cable... Install SSD

C. Rinse and repeat install to SSD (lowest numbered data port)

D. Shut down, reconnect data cable and check to make sure Boot order correct, if not fix

E. Partition remainder of HD as you see fit

I might just have them wipe both my drives completely then reinstall windows on my one drive. Then I will give the other drive to a family member for a build they will be making.. Could this work?

I'm sure they can .... but my kids have been doing this since they were 13 ... I know it's daunting doing it for the 1st time but if you read the MoBo manual and identify which port is which , the rest is kinda paint by number. Why don't ya give it a try and if ya can't manage then go to MC

As always back up and data ya need to before starting

I am shocked they can do it my paranoia just kicks in while doing it.. So I tell them to clean both my hard drives completely and then reinstall windows 10 onto my 4 tb drive? I am so sorry I cant do it but I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to building computers. I also dont need to save anything because I am completely fine with redownloading steam and eset and origin etc.
