Hi!

2 weeks ago my psu died and today i got a new one. after installing it i booted my computer and it did a system check. windows showed up and to my surprise, it wasnt windows 10 but windows 7.
all of my files and downloaded stuff was gone and basically my computer went back a year to march 2016 (assuming this time was when i updated to windows 10).
The funny thing is, my windows isnt genuine, which it wasnt until i got a licenced copy from a guy.

Is there any way to get back windows 10 and all my files?

So, is/was your OS genuine, or not?

I've never heard of a 'forced' downgrade, but if it's not genuine, all sorts of things can feasible happen.

We also cannot assist with pirated software, as per forum rules

Hi, my OS was genuine
Found out that i have 2 drives, one has win7 and one has win10. and it auto booted from the win7 harddrive, guess some settings just changed but after i boot it from the second drive i should have all my things back

You can hit the F12 key as you boot up and select whichever you want so long as you know which hard disk is which. That may have how you got back to W7 in the first place.
