Hello!
My computer recently did a windows update and since then it has been running very slowly. Before the update, it was really fast and had no trouble at all running programs, watching videos or even just launching the start menu but now it struggles with all of those. I looked on some different threads and one guy suggested to go into the "adjust the appearance and performance of windows" in the control panel, then to go into advanced tab and click the big change button. After, I then had to choose custom size and enter the recommended amount (1917) and reboot. This made my computer really fast again but only lasted until I shut down the computer - it then ran very slowly when I booted it up again and I now have to do this process every time I turn it on which is very annoying. Does anybody know why this is happening and what to do about it?
Thanks in advance!

Edit: I now have to do the weird control panel process thingy a couple of times when I boot it up to make it run fast again or it will just stay super-slow and be pretty much unusable. Also, I have had a couple of messages come up about low memory when I have few programs open yet I have 8gb of RAM overall. I also have tonnes of space left on my hard drive so I wouldn't think it would be that so I'm just at a loss here. Just so you know I have done a full system scan with Norton and there were no viruses etc. Thanks!

Regarding the memory leak issue, the best course of action would be to reinstall but sensing that that will be a lot of work, I can suggest that you try with s system restore prior to the point when the mandatory Windows update took place or you can try with a repair install.

I must ask though, is this instance of Windows 10 availed through the free upgrade path or that this is anew installation?
