This has me stumped. I recently bought myself a Z68 chipset board so I can run my old i7-3770. I’ve done a fresh install of Windows 10 on a Samsung SSD, it runs fast and is very snappy as I’d expect from an SSD. It hangs around on the EVGA logo on the boot screen while the circle is spinning for around 10 seconds before it asks me to login in.
I have many computers all with SSD and it never takes this long for any of my others, even the ones with only sata 2 ports. Once I’m logged in it is very snappy and responsive.

This is one of those fancy extravagant EVGA boards, I’ve always used standard nothing special Gigabyte boards. Am I missing something obvious? Are the EVGA boards more complicated?
I’ve put many computers together and I only tend to see this with HDD.
I also did a benchmark on the SSS with very good results so it is not the SSD.
Any ideas?
