[SOLVED] Windows 10 sound is far too quiet even through headphones.

My sound has gotten progressively more quiet over the last little while, through my monitor the sound is fine and perfectly loud enough. However, when using mulitple sets of headphones through my audio jack the sound is far too quiet even with all the settings jacked up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try the front panel audio port and the rear headphone port? Are both identical?

Yes, there is a top port and a single rear port. The top port has been busted for a long time and ive been using the rear port. The sound only started having issues after purchasing a new montior. I dont know if that matters?

eventually uninstall the audio drivers of your graphics card

the rear jack might be faulty

depending on which motherboard you have, you could reassign a different port as "headphone out"

I didnt think of reassigning the ports! I switched them and then back again and the issue seems to have resolved itself...dont know what was causing it. Thanks.
