windows 10 sound loop + freeze

ever since I upgraded to windows 10 I have had this issue with my computer, it will randomly freeze, the last sound will loop endlessly and I will have to hard restart the computer. It never happened previously for me on windows 7, it has happened 2 times in a week now after upgrading to windows 10. I have an alienware aurora R3 computer and have had no real issues with it until upgrading. Any ideas what this can be? If its a hardware issue it is really bad timing since I believe it to be something with windows 10 causing this issue.

Next time it locks up just let it sit repeating the sound and see if you get an error code after 30-60 seconds when it reboots. I had the same issue (not after upgrading) and mine was hardware related but may not be your case. It took a while to figure out as I would always hard reset the PC and didn't wait and see if an error popped up.

i think i have waited over a minute, but ill wait 3-5 minutes next time to be sure
