Hi,
I recently bough a new CPU (i7-9700k) and a newmotherboard (z390-A prime).

Since then, my SSD struggle whenever I start my computer...
I have multiple disk (2 SSD and 2 HDD)
my windows in installed on my first SSD (240GB LS force)
and my games are on my second SSD (1TB Crucial)

whenever I boot up, everything is fine but when I try to access my game,
my second SSD jump to 100% usage and never goes past 30MB/s in reading speed...

all the sata port on my motherboard are 6GB/s
so I should have access to 500-550MB/s in reading / writing speed...
the only thing that seam to fix my problem is to open the case, unplug the SSD and plug it back... then I get no issue until the next time I reboot windows....

I try changing the cable and updating my motherboard driver,
I updated the SSD firmware too but so far nothing work
(except unplugging and re-plugging which is pretty annoying I must say...)

I would like to know if anybody would have a solution for me....

Thank in advance !

P.S. I did not re-install windows when I changed my hardware.... not sure if that has anything to do with it... but since everything function normally I would prefer to not do that if I can spare it...
I ordered a new key for windows since my old key isn't valid anymore (because of the hardware change...)

Solution
Hi,
I'm not sure what fixed my problem,
I did many test and everything seem to work fine now...
Here is the complete list of thing I did

I change my sata cable
I changed the sata port
I deactivated superfetch (even since the issue wasn't on that SSD... no chance to take...)
I re-checked my sata driver (still up to date since the other day...)
I re-checked the SSD tools to comfirm the firmaware version,
checked compatibility between the motherboard and the SSD

the last thing I did was to activate my windows 10 license (I had it order since changing the motherboard invalidated my old license (since it was an OEM), and my new one came today) and then made sure I was up to date in windows.

I hope this help somebody in the future...

I updated the post to add the full spec at the end.
Let me know if I should provide more

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe what app, process, or service is grabbing SSD use.

Open one or the other and just watch for a few minutes - till the computer is stable.

Slide the window to one side but leave open. Access your game as usual. Watch the tool to see what changes take place.

Remember you can click the column headings to sort the displayed output in ascending or descending order.
