Windows 10 'Start' button freezes when opened. At first it shows up prefectly but after a split second it just freezes. Spamming the 'windows' button seems to solve the issue after a few seconds with flashing the task bar making the icons down there disappear then appear again. If I open the start menu again, it freezes so fast that i can not open a single program from it. Have not had this problem before the anniversary update.

My setup:

AMD FX 6300
Nvidia Geforce GTX 950
6 GB HyperX RAM
ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 mobo
some cooler it's pretty good
Windows 10 professional

Been trying to solve this problem but I still can not figure it out pls halp

much love <3

Solution
does right clicking start button work? if so, try this

right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

this scans system files and may fix this behaviour

if that finds any problems try this under (In same window - copy/paste it in)
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press enter

dism fixes SFC, once its done, re run SFC

Once sfc finishes, do a restart

Solution
i was so desperate i literally checked everything on my PC, so I do not know exactly what the solution was. But one thing is for sure: I switched my GPU for an older AMD R7 360 OC, installed the drivers and everything was working fine. Then I switched back to my 950, and suddenly everything was working perfectly so I gues it was a GPU problem all along.

Thanks anyways!
