Windows 10 stuck at 'Attempting Repairs' screen

Hi Folks,

There was some update available for Windows 10 and after updating, it told to Restart the PC. So after restarting the 'Attempting Repairs' screen is displayed for hours and nothing happens thereafter. Tried restarting the PC several times but it is stuck in same screen. I have tried System Restore, Reset PC, CHKDSK from CMD prompt but nothing works. Please help.

Update:

I have disabled the 'Automatic Startup Repair' via CMD prompt and found out the reason for the issue. The below mentioned driver is missing or contains errors.

File: \WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\aswVmm.sys

I have also tried Recovery, Safe mode but nothing worked.

Likely just going to need to renistall windows.

This is where having full hard drive image backups would save you a lot of time.
