Is this normal? my computer turns on, i get a black screen for about 35 seconds followed by the logo and a spinning circle and then after typing in my password i get another 30 seconds of waiting before it loads. it wasnt doing this when i had windows 7, is this just normal for ten?

Solution
Windows 10 does things different than all versions of windows 7. I can't give specifics but I have 2 laptops and a desktop running 10 they try to check for updates right off the bat, this slows things down. I have a windows 7 ultimate desktop that consistently boots in half the time. An SSD for OS is one way to get faster boot times.

im planning on getting an ssd i was just curious if there was any other way to speed it up while i waited for the money to buy it

no, its a gaming pc i built with some help, thats why i dont get it. i can post my specs if anyone wants. its not a huge problem i was just curious if anyone has ever heard of this happening

Well i installed windows 10 and noticed with last update that boot loading time takes too long. So i downloaded ccleaner and under Tools/Startup go thru all tabs and turn off all of it.

My OS now start up quick as hell!!!
