I could really use some ideas with this problem as I have come to the end of my ideas. I bought a new Samsung 55" Q90T smart TV and have it connected to my windows 10 Pro x64 computer however, windows will only detect it as "Generic PnP Monitor" with a display resolution of 1920 X 1080. I am unable to set the resolution any higher and all HDR options are greyed out as well.

I also tried buying a new video card, nothing spectacular, a Radeon RX 570 but that didn't help me either.

I also tried switching off my in wall HDMI cable thinking that might be the problem and am now running over Cat 5E with a powered HDMI Extender for maximum bandwidth and still no luck.

It also doesn't seem like Samsung puts out any Windows drivers for my TV, so that doesn't help either.

What should I try next and what should I be getting as a resolution? Should I not be able to run 4k video off my computer?

Solution
First I'm doing 4k at 60hz HDR gaming.
Can you find out if everything is stated as HDCP compliant. (not even sure if this is an issue) Most likely the cabling is limiting you.
Yes, not possible as my desktop and TV are pretty far away from each other. Having said that, I did return the HDMI over RJ45 extender today and got one that is HDMI 2.0 and 4k compatible and now I can at least get a proper resolution of 3840 X 2160 30p however I all the HDR options in windows are still grayed out.
