Windows 10 update causes issues

... everytime there is a new windows update .. it ruins my fps in some games and one game is locked at 1050p i and wont go higher even tho same game worked before the update at 1080p and high fps..
only fixes i see is reinstall and download the update or revert the update
does anyone know of any other fixes?

the games i know are affected now are metro 2033 redux and metro 2033 last light


please help.. i have tried everything i can think of.. even editing the config file for settings in the game to 1080p it just snaps to 1050p when i start the game

i reverted windows and issue is fixed.. but i rather actually have the windows updates since windows wont let me disable windows update..

everything is workign fine on my end tho. but i guess not everyone is the same.
what i usually do when i feel something isnt the same. i reinstall drivers and it works itself out.
but if its really bad, like windows itself isnt working then, i do a windows install refresh and it works itself out.
but sometimes, there are updates that mess up my program/game. then i go to the games forums. i see alot of people with the same issue. i revert that and wait for the game developers to release an update.

you should mail/message the technical support for "metro 2033 redux" and copy pasta the windows update number to inform them of the bug. if you want a solution to that issue, theres a greater chance finding one on the game sites forums than here tho.

reverting the update fixed it.. issue is i kind of want the update.. what can even cause such a issue?

the instant i start the game it is in 1050p when i install the update.. even when the game loads windows just goes to 1680x1050p :/ i honestly have no clue how to fix it..

i see notting on the games forums... and i contacted the game dev they did not know ether
