Windows 10 Update Failing

Whenever I try updating windows 10 it says configuring windows 10 updates and when it goes to 18% it restarts and then does it again except says windows couldn't complete changes, undoing changes and then restarts again. I've tried doing the windows troubleshooting and I know I can just reinstall windows but I don't want to have to download all my current apps again if possible.

right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC


what are specs of PC?
what version of win 10 are you on?
right click start
choose run...
type winver and press enter
Current version is 1803 (should be 1809 but MS messed that up so far)

Didn't work still the same.
My PC specs are:
ryzen 3 1200 cpu
asus a320m-dgs mb
gtx 1060
2tb hdd
120gb ssd
8gb ram 2400 (2x4)

I'm running windows 10 version 1803

Sorry i slow to answer, been busy.

Try doing a repair install, all it does is fix windows 10, it leaves everything else where it is. All it will remove are any patches so you will need to get the cumulative updates from windows update - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html
