Windows 10 update time

Is there any way to disable the update to windows 10 for good? I run 8.1 now no issues, and no crashed in the middle of a document.

I would suggest upgrading as Windows 10 is generally better than 8.1 and also 10 will get most of the support from now on, but if you want to disable it you can download and run Never10. It disables the sneaky upgrade app and deletes all files associated with it. It doesn't need installing, you just download it and run it.
