windows 10 update

Hi everyone.recently i bought a laptop.this is my first time using windows 10 tand(i have windows 7 on my PC) today i got a notification from windows 10 update assistant that i need to update to the latest version,so i started updateing it.but it took forever(almost 4 hours but stuck at 99 %).finally i killd the assistant in task manager and restarted the windows.it is working just fine like before.is it going to make a problem in the future?

It is gonna start again in some time. That update should be Critical update for fixing CPU issue not sure which one i think kernel because of malware and remote control of your PC.
Try to update and leave it overnight.

If it was that long, I'd assume it was the latest bi-annual update; the fall creators update. It downloads the whole iso (~3.5gb) and if the download restarts from 0% or you think it will fail again, I would recommend you download it manually with the media creation tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
