Windows 10 update

My computer download and try to install version 1803(I'm using 1709). Since then the system start to have problems. Random re-start is the most annoying symptom. I roll back to 1709, but the 1803 update is there, lurking and waiting for a re-start. Is weird but my PC looks like she doesn't like version 1803. How can I prevent the update from installing at re-start?

i recommend a clean install from usb. Use the Microsoft Media Creation tool and an cheap 8GB usb 2 stick. there is a guide here on Tom's I will post back in a sec.

that should do it. My poor notebook didn't like the update either. in 8 minutes flat, 1083 was installed and running.

Is this an AMD system?

I had issues with an AMD system freezing/restarting randomly after the update. For some reason, turning off "Fast Startup" in Windows completely solved the issue.

Do the clean installation(ver.1803) in uefi settings. Now the pc froze more quickly than before. Also couldn't use a system image that I make before.

Download WhoCrashed and analyze what is causing crashes.

Also did you drive mentioned above turning off fast start if it is enabled?

Will do, thanks. Is a Gigabyte mobo, it does not have fast boot(that I know). Also I notice than when I let the display on it doesn't give me any trouble. I have the windows timers (usually) to: display off@ 5min.; sleep- never. I should mention that I'm using 4 pc's with a 4 port kvm.

Sometimes the motherboard has an option like that, but I am talking about the Windows "power settings" option.

I really can't tell you. There's no fast boot in bios nor there is one in the Gigabyte apps. So I can't really tell.

OK, I just looked at that manual for your motherboard and I do not see the fats boot option. Your system should be new enough to handle a clean install of 1803, but if I were you I would wait the extra week and then do a clean install of 1809 and just skip 1803 altogether.

I just make a clean install of windows version 1803. Install who chrash it and waiting for the event to happen. Thanks a lot for sticking with me on this

Run "WhoCrashit" and it state that there are " No valid crash dumps have been found on your computer". I try changing the directories and nothing. Can't find the page file either.

I give up. Didn't get a clear view of what's happening. I started an RMA from Gigabyte. They have a good service dept.
