windows 10 updates 100% disk

got a new laptop and this is happening. its downloading updates for days. is there anyway to minimize the 100 usage. i cant even surf web cause its so laggy. ssd? m2 ssd raid x5? my net is not the fastest.

Disable the windows update?
otherwise n background it will keep on downloading.....

Used a wired connection, let it finish the updates.....
