Windows 10 upgrade, keyboard/mouse issues.

HiI just upgraded my Asus laptop from windows 8 to 10 and now my keyboard and mouse do not work.

When I am asked to sign in my mouse and keyboard work fine but once my desktop loads they stop working.

I plugged a usb mouse in but the start menu doesn't work and I can't access any of my installed programs.

My keyboard works when typing in a command prompt but all I can do is shutdown and restart.

I have looked and tried solutions with powershell amd device manager but I cannot even open either from the cmd prompt.

Anyone know of a solution?

May need to go into safe mode and install new motherboard drivers.

Have you updated your bios? Also my asus touchpad didn't work until it installed the right windows update.
