windows 10 upgrade

I recently bought an SSD to upgrade from my clunky HDD. I fresh installed my windows 8.1 onto the SSD, but forgot the windows 10 upgrade was free for a limited time, if memory serves me correctly, and now I don't think I can get windows 10 without buying a key. I really hate W8, so is there a way around this?

Yes, there still is a way to get the free upgrade.

Read THIS, and upgrade from the Microsoft link in the article. You do not have to continue using the assistive technologies (like the magnifier) after the upgrade.

Microsoft really does want everyone to upgrade, so they left this hole open.
