Windows 10 upgrading issue

I was trying to update to Windows 10.It finished downloading as usual and started upgrading after a reboot.But then it says that it could not complete due to insufficient storage.And the main thing is, my genuine copy of Windows 7 has gone no-genuine.Please help.

How big is your hard drive?

you might be best downloading the Windows 10 media creation tool, create a USB or DVD and do a fresh install and wipe entire hdd. If drive is full of old partitions already win 10 might be trying to use a partition that is too small, better to wipe it all and give win 10 all the free space

as for activation, depending how much time you have, do a fresh install and when you get to part of install asking for a licence, click "I don't have one" and then once win 10 is fully installed and it isn't activated
right click "This PC" on desktop
choose properties
in next screen, down bottom is a activation section and there should be a number you can call Microsoft and explain your situation and they may activate PC for you.
