Windows 10 USB recovery drive killed my computer

I created a Windows 10 recovery USB drive. I then wanted to check and see that it had been created correctly and would work if I ever needed it. My computer has a UEFI BIOS, so I had to go into the BIOS and change it to legacy so that it'd boot from the flash drive (I'd done this before with a Windows 8.1 recovery CD - no problems). Changed it, then when I exited I got an error message about a WDF_Violation. I figured something went wrong when I created the recovery USB, so I rebooted and was going to go into the BIOS and change the settings back to what they were, but right away I got a different error message. An Intel UNDI PXE-2.0 message saying there's no boot device. Rebooted, got that UNDI PXE-2.0 message again (this time when I saw the message I waited about 10 minutes to see if anything would happen, it didn't). Rebooted again, this time no message, just a blank screen. Keyboard was unresponsive, but fans in the computer came on and the DVD drive tray would open and close. I thought the CMOS was screwed up, so tried resetting it by removing the battery, that didn't work. There's a jumper on the computer's motherboard that you can use to reset the CMOS, did that but it didn't work either. I've tried doing everything to see if one of the components is fried. Removed and disconnected everything, put on computer, nothing. Put on computer with just the memory (one stick at a time), nothing. Reinserted and connected things one at a time, nothing. Fans and DVD drive still work, and when the computer comes on I can hear the hard drive spin up, but other than that, screen's blank and keyboard's unresponsive. No beeps when the computer comes on. I guess it's either the CPU or motherboard. Wish I'd never made that recovery USB drive. Am I overlooking something?
