Question Windows 10 USB Recovery shuts down at 75 %

My Asus VivoPC recently stopped working, and said I had to reinstall Windows or somesuch. The alternatives were from a Windows DVD, from a network, or from an USB Recovery stick.

Creating the latter seemed simple, so I used another computer to do it. It took some time, but seemed to work alright.

Everything proceeded smoothly as I booted the Asus Vivo from the USB. I clicked repair from USB, it was the right USB and so on, and it started repairing.

Then when it hit 75 % it said it didn't work, and I had to click cancel. I tried the process a second time, and the same thing happened. It shut down at 75 %.

What can I do to fix this?

Hello

Can you please confirm a few things?

* Please elaborate what 'Stopped Working' means? I mean, did the PC fail to come up with Windows booting logo, or it passed that phase and then displayed some message?

* At what stage did the message 'Reinstall Windows' show up? Was it on the black screen, or did the Blue Screen of Death came up with this message? Was there any other message with this one, may be some error ID, or problem number, etc?

* Did you use Media Creation Tool to create Windows 10 USB?

Please reply with more details to allow us to help you with an accurate solution.'

Cheers!!

Hi! Thank you for your swift reply, and please excuse me for the delay in my response,

This series of pictures ought to explain what happens better than I can.

When I insert the USB-stick and start the computer, I get to this screen: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126594474

I then click "Recover from a drive"

Then this screen arrives: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126595425

I pick "Just remove my files".

That leads to this screen: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126592198

I click "Recover".

This screen arrives: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126591980

The number keeps counting up until it reaches 75 %.

Then it stops and this screen arrives: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126612166

I then click cancel, and end up here again: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=502126613914

Any idea of what I can do about this problem? :)
