Windows 10 USB

I was wondering if I could use the Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USB of Windows 10 and install it on my new desktop that doesn't have Windows yet. Can I install it using that USB without needing a product key or do I have to spend the 100$ for a copy of Windows 10.

You can temporarily run windows 10 on a new desktop, however after I believe 30 days windows 10 will lock down and you will be forced to buy windows 10.
