Since Installing Windows 10 all games have been using increased amount of VRAM. Judging by benchmarks and etc for example that state BF4 without AA at 4k should use around 2900mb VRAM( test bench had W7) while I use same settings and use 4700mb of VRAM on W10. I've read a few other posts but no answers so far. Was just curious as it does not impact performance as far as I'm aware.

Isnt that just because you are running two cards?

It has to mirror the data in both graphics cards.

that could be it, msi afterburner reports vram usage like this. Try disable sli and see what happens?

Disabled SLI and my VRAM reduces a lot. 4800-4900(6300 with AA) in BF4 to 2900 using single (no AA). Ark it went from 7400 to 5500. So SLI has to almost double my VRAM consumption across both cards for whatever reason?

I guess I see what it's doing, but I don't understand why if it has to mirror, more VRAM is consumed versus just mirroring it. 2900 and 2900, not 4800 and 4800

yes, in sli, each card must have it's own copy of data in vram, monitoring programs just add it all up to one figure. Each card is using half of the amount displayed.
