Windows 10 VPN Problems

I'm trying to connect to my university VPN while I'm off campus and I can't seem to connect to it. I've entered the address through the windows 10 vpn service and it says that I'm connected after logging in but doesn't actually allow me to access the files or anything. It also doesn't change my IP address although I'm not sure this would happen? Just looking for advice because I need to get it fixed ASAP and tried looking around online with no answer...

Is there nothing you know of that I can try/do? I need it done ASAP and IT won't be in until Monday..
