Windows 10 vs Windows 7, which one for gaming?

Hello.
Is windows 10 better than windows 7 for gaming?
I want to have better fps in gaming.
Which one will run better in my Lenovo G40-45 laptop?
Which one should i choose?
My specs :
CPU : AMD A8-6410 APU Quad-core @ 2.00 GHz
GPU : AMD Radeon R5 2.00 GHz
RAM : 4GB

It will make no difference but Win 10 supports DX12.

Do Lenovo provide both Win 7 & 10 drivers for your laptop? It's unlikely.

Windows 10 has done more to optimize games in terms of background tasks when gaming, but I doubt you will see a huge difference.
Go with Windows 10 though, as it is more future-proof as Windows 7 won't be supported in some future games. Furthermore Windows 10 has DX12 support as sizzling said.

I checked and there are win 10 drivers on the Lenova site for laptop. I just wasn't sure how good the experience would be.

Well, ultimately there is no big difference, especially since the laptops CPU and GPU are somewhat weak.
even 10% boost (it isn't that high, trust me) will be only few FPS at most. (10% of 20 to 30 is 2 to 3 FPS)

So if it's free, no real harm in it, if you have to pay, it might not be worth the cost.
Since free upgrade period is gone, there is no "free" windows 10 anymore.
