This is a bit of a complicated issue. So I'm working on a laptop that was unplugged and died in the middle of a factory reset. It was stuck in a boot loop, so I tried to do what I have always done an wipe the drive from a separate PC and put it back in the laptop, then installing Windows 10 from a USB drive. However, I couldn't wipe the drive from my PC, because KillDisk would crash and Windows Explorer would not give me access to the drive whatsoever. I put the drive back in, but it would not boot from the USB. From what I understand, Windows will only install to a GSM drive in UEFI mode, but I had to disable that and safe boot and put it into CSM mode to get the USB to boot and install Windows. But, it will not let me install Windows because "Windows Cannot Be Installed to This Disk. The Selected Disk is of the GPT Partition Style." What do I need to do to get it to install Windows 10 on the drive?
