Windows 10 will not install on my laptop?

This is a bit of a complicated issue. So I'm working on a laptop that was unplugged and died in the middle of a factory reset. It was stuck in a boot loop, so I tried to do what I have always done an wipe the drive from a separate PC and put it back in the laptop, then installing Windows 10 from a USB drive. However, I couldn't wipe the drive from my PC, because KillDisk would crash and Windows Explorer would not give me access to the drive whatsoever. I put the drive back in, but it would not boot from the USB. From what I understand, Windows will only install to a GSM drive in UEFI mode, but I had to disable that and safe boot and put it into CSM mode to get the USB to boot and install Windows. But, it will not let me install Windows because "Windows Cannot Be Installed to This Disk. The Selected Disk is of the GPT Partition Style." What do I need to do to get it to install Windows 10 on the drive?

you need a program that will help you boot to a usb drive.

Use this link and download the iso and put it on a cd. boot to there and select your USB.

What if there is no legacy mode in the BIOS? I tried using Windows tool and Rufus to create a USB bootable drive to install this crap, nothing is working. I tried making a UEFI boot able drive, I tried making a BIOS or UEFI bootable drive. Nothing is working
