Question windows 10 will not show me what is in the download folder like I want. I always have to search it. It only shows recently used items in groups

How do I get rid of these groups? I just want to view my download folder like I would any normal folder. Instead it has all these groups of items I've seen. All the other files are missing and I can only find them if I search by typing the name in. This is frustrating and ruining my whole windows experience.
How do I view inside download folder as a normal folder?

I'm not clear on what you mean. When I start File Manager, the left column lists Desktop, Downloads, Documents, Pictures, etc. Is that different from what you get? If so, what do you see in yours?

In file explorer with Downloads highlighted at left side the top menu click (view) then click (group by) then click (none)
