Hi guys,

Recently upgraded my 4 year old HP laptop to Windows 10 and now I'm stuck with a broken wireless card (no drivers available) and my USB wireless adapter is also incompatible with Windows 10 (yay!). Therefore I need a new USB wireless adapter compatible with Windows 10 and am open to suggestions.

I carry my laptop around campus a lot, so my needs would be, starting from most important:

- Reliability
- Longevity (long term driver support, so probably a well known brand)

Other factors are not so important, but I noticed that my previous USB adapter would get hot really fast, so I would like to buy that doesn't do that. Good range is nice but my campus has wifi basically everywhere so it's optional.

Thank you for your suggestions!

Hey there... I bought the WNA3100 a long time ago and have had pretty good luck with it, but when I upgraded to Win10 my service was like a see-saw until I upgraded the drivers for Win10. It's one of the few WiFi adapters that are win10 compatible and it won't break the bank. It's not blazing fast, but it works with N networks which is good enough for my streaming and gaming on my desktop.

Ended up buying the Asus AC56. However, thank you for your suggestion :)
