My computer is self assembled from parts I bought on newegg.com. running windows 10. (first one I've ever assembled) Anyways, this week I had a crash apparantly. and now the computer only boots up to the Asus Bios. I can see the bootable drive under bootable devices, and clicking on it immediately boots up to windows 10 successfully. I've tried startup repair, both from within windows and from the USB windows 10 installation media, no luck.
I'm loathe to reinstall windows if I dont need to, though all my data is saved to a seperate hard drive, not my windows one. I assembled this to run an HTC vive back in May and it's ran perfectly until last week.
Specs if relevent: Asus z170 pro gaming motherboard, i7-6700K cpu, nvidia gtx 1070, 16gb ram, windows 10, and I have a 120gb ssd as my bootable drive with windows 10 on it, and steam installed on it, everything else installs/saves to the 2tb hard drive. I make a point to avoid saving things to my C: drive
The computer is quite usable as is, it's just immensely frustrating, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it, and why it won't boot on it's own anymore
