I had to replace my hard drive due to what I believe was a HD crash.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2.

I created a bootable ISO on this POS Macbook using Disk Utility to make the USB stick FAT32 and Master Boot Record. I then double clicked the ISO download, which let the Mac open the ISO as a folder, and copy and pasted the 4.3ish GB of content onto the USB.

I installed the new HD, opened up the boot menu and it presented me with four different USB options:
1 USB-FDD
2 USB-ZIP
3 USB-CDROM
4 USB-HDD

Also, under the + Hard Disk option it does also list the USB as a Bootable HD there as well, along with the new Hard Drive.

I have tried going under the + Hard Disk option and setting SanDisk as first boot, and I have tried booting from USB-FDD and USB-HDD.

I have also gone under the BIOS menu and manually setting it so that all three boot load order options are USB.

Nothing seems to work, after BIOS screen pops up, the secondary screen (what I guess would be post?) pops up and it gets stuck there. It's the screen that shows PCI Devices and says Verifying DMI Pool Data.

I've tried using two different USB ports on this computer, since there is like 8 of them, and doesn't seem to make a difference. The USB drive is brand new, so I highly doubt it is just faulty, and there was no errors that I saw when I was installing the ISO to it.

This is the first time I've tried to boot a new copy of Windows onto a computer before, so I'm kind of out of my element.

If you go down to the comments and read, you'll see that using that method doesn't work anymore. The option to create via boot camp is no longer there on some users Mac's, and this one is one of them.

The method I used came from another guide where the gentlemen also wasn't able to use Boot Camp anymore.

Think I figured out an easy solution. The person who's macbook I'm using also has a new mac, which is updated enough that I should be able to use that one to make the bootable. Will try that and let ya know.

How about you fill me in with some actually useful information? There are countless people who have made USB devices into Bootable systems for first time Windows installs.
