Question Windows 10 won't let me wipe my PC

I am trying to fully wipe my SSD that has windows on it, so I can sell my computer, and when I try to do this, it just says "Windows has a problem resetting your computer: no changes have been made". Anyone know how to fix this?

There are various reasons for the "problems" so theres no one solution without knowing the background of the issue. It can a corrupt OS, damaged recovery, other software etc.

A clean install will remove everything and reinstall completely from scratch and remove any potential corruption etc.

Technically speaking if your concern was YOUR data, then even more than a clean install is needed. I've been given several "reset" PCs and still been able to recover data off it when you know how to look for it.

But it's usually perfectly suitable for normal reselling purposes. Either way, a clean will do even more than a simple reset.

in settings/update & security/activation, what does it say next to activated?

Yes, you need this to install win 10 - download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB
