I am trying to run the windows 10 preview on virtual box to try it out but it gives me an error that looks like this:

I read up on the error and it says something about needing nx, or no execute support. I have an AMD FX-8350, I don't know if that supports it or not but I searched the BIOS of my asrock 970 extreme4 and found no such option.

Sorry, my bad, I didn't remember right. I just tried and got it to work: http://imageshack.com/a/img911/7717/0gDY8O.png

You can actually leave the chipsets setting the same. When you create your vm, choose as type Windows 8.1 x64, and it does this automatically. This works out of the box. Only difference seems to be hard-drive controller is SATA instead of IDE.

Haha, had that same problem. With virtualbox, you need to change the chipset. In "settings", "System", "Motherboard", you need to click "Enable EFI (special OSes only), and change the chipset to ICH9.

Vote me best if it works.

Where is the hard-drive controller option?
