Hello,
I have been having a persistent issue since I purchased my PC in 2016 with my DCOM in which my pc will freeze up at random times. Below are the errors & what I've attempted to do to fix them
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
and APPID

to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
Windows.SecurityCenter.WscDataProtection
and APPID
Unavailable
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

to the user DESKTOP-FDC2IC7\hayle SID (S-1-5-21-2193928862-463225452-3632957575-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
I have read other forum pages which say must go into the Regedit and change the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT permissions/ownership to the administrator, checking the box and also allowing full control. I have tried this, but when attempting to change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ownership I receive this error "Registry Editor could not set security key currently selected or some of its subkeys". I have tried running regedit as admin, running pc in safe mode, and even using the hidden windows admin tool through cmd. None of these have worked.
This is very frustrating as I'm not a tech or "very good" with computers. I have put up with the issue for many years and usually just perform a clean install once the issue starts to persist more and more. It's very possible I'm doing something wrong. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
