My current config works fine:
Mobo: Asus P7P55D-E LX
CPU: Intel i7 860
Memory: Corsair Vengence 4 x 4Gb DDR3
C drive is SSD SATA6Gb and I also have about 500Gb of SATA6 SSD available for data that I can use os fast buffer
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 6790
I'm waiting for W11 to be available to see if this config will work. TPM 2 support I don't have and the GPU is only Direct X 11.
My question is: if I install a new GPU for under 200$ but with 2Gb DDR5 and support of Direct X 12 do I stand a chance for W11?
Current GPU allows me to play Flight Simulator X at reasonable FPS btu I would like to go to the new FS2020 without ruining myself.
Any input is welcome

As of now no. This could change by the time of the official release.
The video card has nothing to do with it.

Minimum specs for win 11 iso are tpm 1.2 so I would just keep using win 10 until you get a new PC that should come with everything you need for win 11.

If Microsoft gave out a 2 week trial of WIn 11 you would find its so close to win 10 that you left wondering what differences are. Its not worth it, its only windows. Its not some amazing must have software, its just what you run everything else on.

Yes it will work if you add to 2 items in the registry during setup, as video popular in internet, to block tpm check and secure boot check, working with Clean install of 11.
I have Dell with same cpu windows 11 and all updates and drivers came in via windows update no prob,
i have Nvida gt 1030 is only differance than you
Intel i7 860 1st gen,
SSD, working faster than my 2020 laptop.
