Question Windows 11 Copy/Paste stops

For some reason in the last week the copy/paste function will just randomly stop working. I found that if I restart Windows Explorer it will come back on, but I don't know what's causing it. Apart from Windows updates I haven't really installed anything new or made any changes.

To me it seems like the OS might be corrupt if the issue vanishes with a reboot. Might want to see if your motherboard is pending any BIOS updates, then see if the OS is pending any updates as well.

It doesn't vanish when I reboot it just may work or may not. The only thing that helps is to restart Windows Explorer. I will check for updates though.

Using the copy paste method means that data is being copied to the clipboard before pasting so there may be a problem with how windows is handling your clipboard memory or the memory may be corrupt. You could try the Ctrl dragging and dropping method to see if that functions better.

It's weird because it's totally random. Sometimes it goes for a week and then it will just stop working. It's not a huge deal, I just want to know why it's doing it!
