[SOLVED] Windows 11 home 64bit pc running smooth, installing AMD driver or not required?

Solution
Microsoft only get copies of drivers when AMD supply them for signature. I don't have an AMD card and majority of the PC's I fix around here have Nvidia drivers, so I know the age of the drivers Nvidia supplied last, about 2 years old.
So windows updates might not be newest drivers.

I generally let windows control my GPU but if you want more, this might help = https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh2-020

I will be getting an AMD card next so I guess I should learn their drivers.

AMD Radeon Graphics Drivers 22.10.2 WHQL
these are from October, probably latest.
Seems its not required, but I can't set maximum resolution nor have a fan profile ( right thats it, cant tell if the fan of the gpu are actually running as they should without the amd driver installed ) other than that seems most games are running with what windows provides.

So adrenaline?

I don't know the age of the default AMD GPU drivers in windows 11 so I couldn't say.

If you recently installed it might help to get newer drivers, to get control of card - https://www.amd.com/en/support

So do you believe the gpu is being managed properly by what windows provides, if you cant tell.

Seems if you look under driver updates in windows settings, what windows provides is the most up to date that comes through the windows update.
