This is literally a Zero Day thing. We have pretty much NO idea how this install will go.
TPM, Legacy, UEFI, Secure Boot, specific hardware, etc, etc, etc.

You who are trying this install are as much experts on this as anyone else in here.
"How do i...?" doesn't really count yet.

Patience, and when YOU figure something out, please inform the rest of us.

If at all possible, do NOT do this on your main system (as with any not quite beta OS).
And if you DO need to use your one and only system, please please please have a known good backup of the entire drive situation, and know how to recover it.

So windows 11 will now require an active internet connection and a Microsoft user account? Okay I get that but that just sounds like subscription software without having to pay. Am I upset about that? NO. I can understand Microsoft's position that the end user is getting the OS for free and they want to make sure it's the most current and up to date. However what about those that run a business and have multiple machines. Will they have to download a copy of Windows 11 for every PC in their business?

No. I'm sure there is some sort of network install available. Download it once, create the installation package and push it out to the systems over the network.

Download one, and install over the network.
Businesses have been doing that for years.

Even WIn 10 at home....create 1 single USB to install with, install on multiple machines with it.

Of course, each system needs its own license. But the install is generic.

So will Windows 11 still use the Media Creation Tool? Because when I read that Windows 11 will require an active internet connection, my thought was you will have to download it for each machine.

Just wait and see most likely it will work very similar to the way it works now

Completely unknown. It has not been officially released yet, not even in a Preview version.

All these people you see trying to install it today are working with an unfinished leaked version.

It is not ready for prime time.

And whatever "requirements" exist today...I expect will change several times before any official release.
Just like happened with Win 10.

That is more likely for logon reasons or activation.

I think Win 7 uses the media creation tool, I can't see MS changing that, it will be only way anyone who upgrades from 10 to 11 can get the installer.
Its the same as last upgrade, when we went from 7/8 to 10, the only way owners of new 10 licences could reinstall was via making an installer using Media creation tool.

If win 11 is a free upgrade, so the installer is free.

i get pushing msa but the active internet connection is going to not work everywhere. What if you don't have internet? Or only connect sometimes. So win 11 can't run in offline mode?

lots of rural areas don't have constant internet.

lots of people don't want an msa either.

I believe the requirement is only for the initial set up and Microsoft account creation. It will work fine offline afterwards (for offline activities). But, yes, you have a valid point. We'll just have to wait and see.
