Windows 11 installation not finding storage device

Hello, I'm trying to install Windows 11 on M2 NVMe SSD (Samsung Evo 980) connected to PCIe using Sabrent NVMe to PCI adapter. PC is a Dell Precision 5820 Tower.
When I run Windows 11 installation it doesn't find any storage. Can anyone please advise what is the problem?
If it's a missing driver; is it the driver for the SSD storage or the PCIe to NVMe adapter?

well, there isn't a driver for the adapter - https://sabrent.com/products/ec-pcie

it is likely related though...

does the drive show in the bios? as if it can't see it, it can't really show it to windows.

I'm presuming by "PCI adapter" you mean a PCIe card with an NVME M.2 slot like https://www.amazon.com/Bejavr-PCI-E3-0-Expansion-Aluminum-PCI-Express/dp/B09JM5FVC7/ . If this is the case, the computer should already have an NVME M.2 slot, you don't need a PCIe card. Just replace whatever M.2 SSD is already in there.

If somehow you found a conventional PCI card that has an M.2 slot, since the computer has a conventional PCI slot... you can't boot from that, and refer back to the previous point.

What cpu do you have installed?
What slot did you install PCIE M.2 adapter into.
Can you show a photo of your system with side panel removed?

Depending on CPU model installed, slot 1 may not be available.

I managed to get it sorted. In BIOS SATA operation was set on "RAID on", instead of AHCI. Now it's working. Thank you very much for your help everyone
