Question Windows 11 Laptop Bluetooth Keeps Disappearing and Disconnecting

Hello,

I have a laptop running Windows 11, and I've been experiencing Bluetooth issues for a long time. Sometimes, I can connect to a device without any problems, but in some cases, I encounter the following issues:

When I turn on my laptop, the Bluetooth feature completely disappears and does not appear in Device Manager. In such cases, I usually have to restart my computer.

Even if I successfully connect via Bluetooth, after a while, the connection drops, and Bluetooth completely disappears. This forces me to restart my computer again. For example, when I connect my Xbox controller, after playing for a while, it starts responding with a delay as if there's lag. Similarly, when I connect a Bluetooth speaker, it stops producing sound after some time.

I have already reset Windows from the settings, but the issue persists. In fact, now Bluetooth is completely gone. 😀

Does anyone know what might be causing this issue and how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

which laptop is it?
did you install latest bluetooth drivers from the laptop´s support homepage?
which version?

maybe an usb bluetooth dongle could help, if the onboard is faulty. Or replace the onboard one

you might consider going in to windows device manager, find the usb hub that the bluetooth device is connected to and right mouse click on it to bring up properties then find the power management tab and uncheck the option for windows to let windows turn off the device to save power. (this is a work around for a common bug)

generally a fix would involve update the bios, update the CPU chipset drivers and bluetooth drivers from the motherboard/laptop vendors website. (new sleep states added to windows require bluetooth driver updates, and USB and bios might have to be updated to correctly support new features to the specifications.
